Firestorm 2007: From the Ashes Relief Benefit Dinner

The Need for Donations and Sponsors:

The Firestorm 2007: From the Ashes Relief Benefit Dinner is being organized to raise funds for the survivors affected by the recent wildfires in Southern California. The goal of this event is to collect donations and provide support for those who have, tragically, lost everything. While we, as a community, can not turn back the hands of time, we can all take this opportunity to show our support, both financially and emotionally, for those who need it most now and in the days to come. While FEMA & the American  Red Cross are working to provide support for the survivors, much, much, more is still needed.

The goal of this relief benefit is to raise $2.2 million dollars, providing a $1000 stocking stuffer for each of the 2,180 families who lost their primary residence during this epic catastrophe.  To this end, we are soliciting donations for the survivors of this tragedy. Price per table: $1,000.00 (If you would like to be acknowledged as a Host Committee member, a minimum of one table per host must be purchased.) Price per person: $125.00. All of the funds raised for the survivors of this catastrophe will go directly into the Riverside County Professional Firefighters Benevolent Fund (RCPFBF) on behalf of the California Department of Firefighters, Local Chapter 2881/IAFF. All donations for this relief benefit are also tax deductible: Non-Profit Tax ID# 20-1982329 (W9 Forms Available Upon Request)

In addition, if you are interested in donating either time or services for this important relief effort, your support would be greatly appreciated. The Relief Benefit Dinners Theme:

The Firestorm 2007: From the Ashes Relief Benefit Dinner will embody the nostalgia and elegance of 1940s aviation decor, including: vintage and contemporary aircraft tours, live period jazz, dancing, delicious cuisine, fine wine, hors doeuvres, and a no host bar. In addition, this evening will also commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Hemet Ryan Air Attack Base and provide an opportunity to acknowledge and thank the many talented and hard working men and women who risk their lives protecting the lives and property of others throughout Southern California. In recognition of their valiant efforts, a video presentation including footage of the fires, firefighters, Hemet Ryan Air Attack Base, and Governor Schwarzeneggers recent visit and speech in their honor will also be shown.

The Donation Recipients and Community Involvement:

The Firestorm 2007: From the Ashes Relief Benefit Dinner will raise badly needed funds for the survivors and honor the firefighters affected by the recent Southern California wildfires catastrophic devastation. Prominent members of the community, including Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone, the California Department of Firefighters and many other politically, professionally, civically, and academically involved community members will also be in attendance. Attendance is expected to be no less than 500 people.
