The Need for Donations and Sponsors:
The
Firestorm 2007: From the Ashes Relief Benefit Dinner is being organized to raise funds for the survivors affected by the recent wildfires in Southern California. The goal of this event is to collect donations and provide support for those who have, tragically, lost everything. While we, as a community, can not turn back the hands of time, we can all take this opportunity to show our support, both financially and emotionally, for those who need it most now and in the days to come. Firestorm 2007: From the Ashes Relief Benefit Dinner will embody the nostalgia and elegance of 1940s aviation decor, including: vintage and contemporary aircraft tours, live period jazz, dancing, delicious cuisine, fine wine, hors doeuvres, and a no host bar. In addition, this evening will also commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Hemet Ryan Air Attack Base and provide an opportunity to acknowledge and thank the many talented and hard working men and women who risk their lives protecting the lives and property of others throughout Southern California. In recognition of their valiant efforts, a video presentation including footage of the fires, firefighters, Hemet Ryan Air Attack Base, and Governor Schwarzeneggers recent visit and speech in their honor will also be shown.The Donation Recipients and Community Involvement:
The
Firestorm 2007: From the Ashes Relief Benefit Dinner will raise badly needed funds for the survivors and honor the firefighters affected by the recent Southern California wildfires catastrophic devastation. Prominent members of the community, including Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone, the California Department of Firefighters and many other politically, professionally, civically, and academically involved community members will also be in attendance.
